Golden Smoothie

During evenings, I take mostly fruits, salads or semi-liquid foods. Today, I tried this golden smoothie and it went well. Light for stomach and tasty too 😊

You need:

1/2 cup thick coconut milk

1 ripe banana (2 if using small ones)

1 small piece turmeric root

1 tablespoon honey

1/2 cup water

Method of preparation:

Cut the banana into small pieces. In a blender, pour the coconut milk followed by adding banana pieces, turmeric root, water and honey. Blend well and drink fresh.

Notes: You may add more honey or if the banana is sweet, you can avoid adding honey. Better to use turmeric root, but can replace it with 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.

      1. How do you make homemade coconut milk? Sorry am i bugging you too much? I only ask because it is better for Mother Earth and closer to nature if we make in our own house. πŸ™‚ Bhooma Devi Ki Jai! πŸ™‚

      2. first cut coconut in half and scrape the coconut with a coconut scraper if you have one or you can remove the coconut in small pieces from the shell with the help of a strong and sharp knife. You have to cut the coconut in small pieces and then grind it in big jar of mixer/blender with a cup of hot water once. Then take a sieve or a clean cotton cloth and put the grind mixture into it and squeeze the milk out of it to a glass. This is the natural way of extracting coconut milk πŸ™‚
